On July 4, 2026, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of County Road 880 in Evadale for a welfare check. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with all parties involved and discovered that Larry Burgess, 46, of Vidor, was wanted by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for Violation of Protective Order, a State Jail Felony.
The warrant stems from a previous investigation in which Burgess allegedly made contact with a protected individual in violation of a court-issued protective order. Burgess was placed into custody without incident and transported to the Jasper County Jail.
He is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
