
Bridget Marie Weathers, born on August 10, 1971, in Orange, Texas, departed from this life on July 31, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of the late Mary Ann Weathers and James A. Edwards. Bridget leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, cherished by her two sons, Darrius Weathers and Kindred Evans, as well as her beloved daughter, Brianna Weathers, who has joined her in eternity. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren who affectionately called her GiGi, and she will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bridget was a devoted sister to Veronica Weathers, Kimberly Weathers, Cynthia Weathers, And a bonus Sister Yolanda Allen, and she also cherished her extended family of 17 brothers and sisters on her father’s side. She held her loving uncles, aunts, and cousins close to her heart.
Bridget was a remarkable woman who embraced life with open arms. Her adventurous spirit led her to experience the beauty of Africa, a place she held dear. Known for her radiant smile and compassionate heart, she had the unique ability to care for everyone around her. Bridget was an active member of Strong Tower in Port Arthur, Texas, where she fostered connections and friendships that made her life even more enriching.
A true beacon of joy and laughter, Bridget was the life of every gathering, relishing the time spent with family and friends. In 2022, she faced a diagnosis of aggressive colon cancer. Despite the challenges that came her way, her unwavering positivity and zest for life never wavered.
Bridget Marie Weathers will be profoundly missed and never forgotten. We encourage all who knew her to remember her with a smile, knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Home going celebration will be Saturday, August 10, 2024, at True Praise Family Worship Center, 319 W. Park Ave. Orange, TX. 77630. Service time is 11:00 AM. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Orange.
