
Brian Roy Montgomery, of Round Rock, Texas passed away at the age of 49 on January 9, 2018. Brian was born on January 16, 1968 in South Charleston, West Virginia to father, Dennis Montgomery and mother, Mary Montgomery. Brian became a proud Texan at three-weeks old, when his family relocated to Orange, Texas, where he grew up in a large, loving family with three sisters and one brother. He attended Lamar University, graduating with a business degree in Finance. He worked as an Accountant in the Texas Education Agency in Austin, Texas on a team who considered him a respected, well-liked member.
Brian was a soft-spoken, hard-working, kind individual who showed his love for his family through actions, such as never forgetting a single birthday or special occasion. Brian enjoyed the Space Program and tried to never miss a lift-off. His hobbies included studying history and astronomy and visiting sites related to these subjects. He will be sorely missed by all those privileged to have known him.
Brian is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Montgomery; brothers-in-law, Matthew Rivette and Norman McBride. He is survived by his mother, Mary Montgomery; sister, Denise Moody; brother, David Montgomery and wife, Lea; sister, Susan Willett and husband, Jim; and sister, Kristan McBride. As well as nieces and nephews: Nicole and Brayndon McHenry, Brittany and Evan Duncan, Branden and Savannah Montgomery, Katrina Rivette and Patrick and Zoë Wolfford; Kirsten, Nathan and Andrew McBride.
A funeral mass will be held in his honor, 2:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Orange, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orange Christian Services or the Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance.
