
Brenda Gail Meche, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully on September 19, 2025, in her hometown of Vidor, Texas, surrounded by her cherished daughters. Born on September 7, 1954, Brenda was a vibrant spirit whose passion for life was infectious.
Brenda was known for her fun-loving personality, which endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She found joy in the simplest of pleasures, such as dancing and enjoying the lively sounds of Cajun music, deeply embracing her Cajun heritage. Her laughter and warmth created a welcoming atmosphere for family gatherings, where stories were shared, and memories were made.
Brenda’s legacy lives on in her beloved family. She is survived by her daughters, Brandi Morisson and her husband Jason, along with Tina and Jerry Hunteman. The light of her life also shone brightly in her grandchildren: Maddi Linder, Raven Reynolds, Gaven Reynolds, Natalie Morrison, Zoe Hunteman, and Ethan Morrison—each carrying a piece of her heart and spirit in their own unique ways.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Elvina Meche, and her spouse, Ronnie Ienna, and her siblings, R.D. Meche, Clara Miller, and Alice Miller whose memories continues to dwell in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
A memorial gathering will be held in Brenda’s honor on September 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, located at 1750 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662. This gathering will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share their love for Brenda, and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
Brenda Gail Meche’s memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved her. She will be missed dearly, yet her spirit will be carried on in the hearts of her family and friends for years to come as she joins her family in the kingdom of heaven.
