With the departure of Raven Cole Harris to Buna, the Bridge City Cardinals decided to stay in-house and move Assistant Coach Kylie Bradley to the head coaching position.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am to have this opportunity,” she said. “This program has a lot of history and I’m looking for to continuing the success we’ve had.”
She’s also looking forward to all of the experience she has coming back. Newcomer of the Year Cambree LaComb along with All-District performers Carson Fall and Nicole Sasser are back.
She also has experience in the coaching ranks as Chris Moore will be back at first base. “Absolutely I’m glad to have Coach Moore back.” Bradley will also bring in Callie Jourdan who played at PNG and also in college. Bradley called her an “outfield specialist.”
After graduating from Orangefield in 2015, Bradley played a couple of years of college ball. Before coming to BC she spent two years in Kountze. The first year she took over the team midway thru after a coaching change. The next season she took the Lionettes to the playoffs.
Bradley completed her first year as a BC assistant and said that year with the ladies is invaluable. “It’s such a benefit as opposed to walking in new and not knowing what you have. I’ve been around the girls for a season and I also know what’s coming from the JV and freshman team so we’ve already cleared that step. And they know me and know what to expect. I’ll come in very organized with attention to detail.”
