After seeing action in just two games his freshman season, Orangefield grad Jason Bodin is getting to show his stuff in year two of playing in the Southeastern Conference.
After a year at Texas A&M, where he was a member of the Aggie team that made it to the College World Series Championship (losing to Tennessee in three), Bodin used the transfer portal to take his talents to Norman, Oklahoma to play for the Sooners.
The Sooners are 29-10 overall and 10-8 in the SEC. They pounded Missouri in a three game set over the weekend with Bodin getting to pitch in Game 3 where he threw the final two innings, didn’t give up a hit and struck out three.
On the season, he’s 2-1 with a 5.48 ERA, seeing action in 17 games with 23 K’s in 24 innings pitched. He’s lowered his ERA to 2.08 in conference play with 12 strikeouts in 13 innings.
The Sooners play Oral Roberts tonight (4/22) and then get ready for a big series at #10 Georgia this weekend.
