The Orangefield Bobcats traveled to Kirbyville and gave the Wildcats a tough game but a couple of big plays offensively proved the difference as OF dropped to 1-1 with a 21-7 loss.
Kirbyville’s’ main man Joseph Fentress was held to just 21 yards on 4 carries but he had a 64 yd catch and run for a touchdown. And then he did his part defensively, posting 13 tackles against the Bobcats.
The Wildcats also scored on a 39 yd run and a 1 yd plunge. The Bobcats only score came in the second quarter on a 1 yard run by QB Caleb Kress. Christopher McGee led OF in offense with 75 yds on the ground in 6 carries.
