
After competing at the TTCA Team Tennis Regional in Longview last week, members of the Bobcat Tennis team were excited to be back at the friendly confines of the Beaumont Tennis Center this Friday. Orangefield had another tremendous day with 8 players medaling. Olivia Smith, who was competing in her first tennis tourney of the year, paired with SJ Beasley to finish second in B doubles. Zoey Harvey and Ella Sanders won consolation in A doubles. Brycen Amy and Andy Rutledge won B doubles. Cooper Dorman battled his way to first place in B singles and the highlight of the day was Emily Szakmeister who finally took down a familiar foe on her way to winning her B singles draw as well.
Between the JV and Varsity teams this week the Cats earned 17 medals completing another excellent week of play!

On Thursday, February 26th, the Orangefield Junior Varsity Tennis team was back in action in Beaumont to compete in the Bridge City Tournament. The Bobcats had another fine outing while debuting some new players fresh out of basketball. 9 medals were earned on the day!

Thomas Royston/Lakynn Granger – 1st in Freshmen Mixed Doubles
Cullen West – 2nd in Freshmen Boys Singles
Gaven Reyes and Roc Slaughter – 2nd in JV Boys Doubles
Noah Gleason/Mikayla Locke – 3rd in JV Mixed Doubles
