Bobcat Boys, Girls Win District Championship
This week the Orangefield boys golf teams competed in the 22-AAA District golf tournament that was held at Chambers County golf course, in Anahuac. The Orangefield #1 team finished in the top spot allowing them to bring home, back to back district championships. After day one the Bobcats shot a team total 355, 17 shots ahead of Warren (372) and 31 shots ahead of Orangefield #2 (386). On day 2, Orangefield #1 shot a team total 330, for a combined 2 day total of 685. The Orangefield #2 team finished with a 2 day total of 775 to capture the 3rd spot. Lincoln Parks won the first place medalist, shooting 77 and a 72.
The Lady Bobcats had two teams compote in the golf district tournament this week.
The team of Riley Kethan, Alyssa Wiley, Lela Francis, Emma Perriotte, and Abby Slaughter are your 22-3A District Champs and will have the chance to compete at regionals! For their two day totals Riley Kethan shot a 196, Wiley a 243, Francis and 260, Perriotte a 260, and Slaughter a 256. Our second team consisting of Gracie Bickham, Emma Prouse, Jordyn Rucker, Mollie Meyer, and Blake Steele competed very well also.
