Billie Jean Casey, 85, of Orange, Texas passed away July 2, 2020. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center, Texas. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Billie Jean Rudd was born March 2, 1935 in Center, Texas to Donese and Sybil Rudd. After high school, she married her sweetheart Edward Durward Casey Jr. They enjoyed over 64 years of marital bliss, two children, five grandchildren, and multiple great-grandchildren together before his passing in 2018. Billie Jean was a member of First Christian Church in Orange and loved discipling children through the Mother’s Day Out program at North Orange Baptist Church Orange.
Billie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Don Edward Casey.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Boozer and husband Harold of Orange; daughter in law Phyllis Casey; grandchildren Amanda Istre, Christopher Boozer and wife Haley, Leanne Fuselier and husband Bryant, Shon Casey and wife Kathleen, and Tara Casey; as well as 8 great-grandchildren. Billie Jean was a beloved wife, mother, “Gram”, and friend to everyone she met and will be dearly missed.
Pallbearers honoring Billie Jean are Harold Boozer, Christopher Boozer, Shon Casey, Bryant Fuselier, Dylan Istre and Mason Istre. Honorary pallbearers will be Pryce Boozer, Branson Fuselier and Landry Fuselier.
The family would like to extend their greatest gratitude to Gwen Riley, Velma Hopkins, Veronica Leslie, and The Sabine House staff for the kindness, compassion, and support you have provided over the last two years.
