Bill Schmidt, born on October 8, 1942, passed away on April 5, 2026, in Bridge City, TX.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army in Germany. He dedicated 57 years of his life to International Papermill, where he was known as a hard worker. His main hobby was motorcycles; he loved working on them and riding them. In his downtime, he enjoyed watching TV.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marilyn Schmidt; his step-sons, Robert, Michael, and Alan; his brother, Johnny Schmidt; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved daughter, Christina “Chrissy” Schmidt; and his sister, Catherine Woodfin.
