
At least ten units of an apartment complex in Orange County were destroyed or heavily damaged after it caught fire in the early morning hours Friday.
The call came in around 1:30am from the Sunrise East Apartments located on Patillo Circle in the Victory Gardens area off Hwy. 87.
Chief Ricky Bodin of OCESD 2 said when they arrived a large part of the roof on the section of apartments were burning. ESD 3, 4, West Orange, Orange, and Acadian also responded.
The Red Cross was called in to assist those in need. Approximately 25 adults and 10 children were displaced. The cause is under investigation.
