
Beverly Sweezy, 82 of Orange, Texas, passed at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Ninth and Elm Church of Christ with Brother James Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Dorman Funeral Home.
Beverly was born on April 18, 1935 in Parke County, Indiana to Leland Lee Lindley and Martha Jane Craft. She was a member of Ninth and Elm Church of Christ in Orange and would serve by cooking meals for any gathering the church had. Beverly was known to be the queen of shopping on QVC. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Reuben Sweezy; son, Phillip Sweezy; daughter, Roberta Sweezy; grandson, Jason Tincher; brothers, Chuck Lindley, Gerald Lindley, Chester Lindley, and Melvin Lindley.
Beverly is survived by her children, Tom Tincher and life partner Jan Phariss of Bridge City, David Tincher and wife Dona of West Orange, George Sweezy of Orange and Michael Sweezy of Orange, Tina Vega and husband Richard of Orange, Susan Windsor and husband Steve of Mishawaka, IN; brother, Howard Lindley of Kingman, IN; sisters, Sue Sailor of Elkhart, IN, and Nancy Beukema of DeMotte, IN; grandchildren, Tabitha Bowen, David Tincher, Jr., Alan Tincher, Billy Tincher, Crystal Tincher, Kyle Tincher, Nicholas Sweezy, Dawn Almonte, Donnie Roberts, Brittany Ledet, Bekka Oxley, Leeah Killingbeck, Tiffany Sweezy, and Michael Sweezy; thirty-six great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
