Beverly A. (Bellard) Hawthorne was born in Orange, Texas on October 21, 1939’ to Mitchell Bellard and Mattie Mae (Johnson) Bellard, and was raised by Hilda Bellard.
She passed April 14th at Focus Care Nursing Home in Orange.
Siblings preceding her in death were her brother, Lawrence Bellard and sister, Pricilla (Lastrapes) Hebert.
She attended St. Therese Catholic School and continued her education at Wallace High School in Orange, Texas.
At the tender age of 14, she met and married the love of her life, Lenro Hawthorne (deceased) of Orange, Texas, on October 16, 1954. To that union were born 5 beautiful children.
She taught her children faith in God and took them to church every Sunday! Beverly held many jobs in her life, but none carried more merit than that of being a wife and a mother. She was the love of her husband’s life and the joy of her children. She had the gift of making everyone feel special and could light up a room with laughter like no other! She never met a stranger and naturally knew how to make everyone feel like family.
A daughter and son preceded her in death, Mary Katherine Brown and Clifton Hawthorne, both of Orange.
Forever cherishing her memories are children Milton L. Hawthorne of Beaumont, Texas, and Alton Hawthorne and Valerie (Hawthorne) Martin (husband: Darick G. Martin) both of Orange. She also loved her special bonus child, Larry Roberts of Killeen, Texas.
Also, Beverly leaves to mourn 4 generations of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister-n-laws, brother-n-laws and a host of cousins and friends.
Her presence will be greatly missed…………. until we meet again!
