Bernice Whitten Parker, age 86, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
Bernice was born on Sunday January 23, 1939 in Logansport, Louisiana, to Mary Bell Barrett and Edward Clayton Whitten.
Bernice worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone, Shannon Messer Real Estate and the Orange County Courthouse, where she retired from. If you ever met her, you would never forget her. She was one of a kind.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Don Parker; brothers, E,J, Whitten, and Raymond Whitten and sisters, Elaine Whitten and Tula Pope.
Those left to cherish her memory her son Mike Parker and Vanessa of Orangefield, Texas; granddaughter, Katherine Welch and husband John of Mauriceville, Texas; twin great grandbabies, Clayton James Welch and Lillimae Margaret Welch of Mauriceville, Texas; sisters, Maxine Shadoin of Orangefield, Texas, Laura Booker and husband Gwinn of Stonewall, Louisiana’ Sharon Doty of Shreveport, Louisiana, Debra Jacobs and husband Carl of Shreveport, Louisiana; sister in law, Sandria Whitten of Longview, Texas; good friends, Carolyn Johnnie of Bridge City, Texas and Stephen Kosh and wife Debbie of Orange, Texas, and many more friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
