The LCM Lady Bears caused a stir and eliminated Furr 9-0 to claim the Area Championship on Tuesday night in East Chambers. The defense led by Mallory Russell, Kinsey Dryden, Mallory Dollar, Sydney Guidry, Sarah Hormell, and Jada Montagne shut down the Lady Brahmans offense early on and never looked back. They were successful in moving the ball up the field to the offense so they could go to work. The offense led by Taylor Bull, Annabelle Fisher, Maya Meadows, and Mariah Ammons maintained constant pressure on the Furr defense and picked it apart without any issues. Shayne Pannell and Maddie McConnell combined for a clean sheet in the goal. Stats on the night were Taylor Bull with five goals and two assists, Annabelle Fisher with four goals and one assist, Jada Montagne with one assist, Mallory Dollar with one assist, Maya Meadows with two assists, and Maddie McConnell with one assist. The Lady Bears will take on the Sealy Lady Tigers in the Regional Quarterfinals. Playoff information will be released once finalized.
