Just before midnight Wednesday, the Bridge City School Board named Todd Lintzen their lone finalist for the position of Superintendent.
Lintzen is currently the Superintendent at Blue Ridge ISD in Blue Ridge, Texas, a 2A school located just north of Dallas.
According to the schools website Lintzen has been Superintendent at Blue Ridge ISD since 2008. His educational career spans over 28 years. He began his career as an English teacher, football coach, and baseball coach. His career path shifted to administration in 1996 when he became a Principal. From that administrative appointment within the same school district he has served as a Middle School Supervisor, Director of Instruction and Assistant Superintendent before being promoted to Superintendent. During that same time span he was also an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern State University, Louisiana Tech University, and Louisiana State University-Shreveport.
If approved Lintzen will replace Mike King who has taken a job in the private sector.
