Bridge City celebrated National Night Out Tuesday with food, games, and plenty of fun. The third annual National Night Out at the City Park was sponsored by the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce.
B.J. Hanneman with the chamber said the festival to recognize first responders has grown each year. There were 42 booths sponsored by local businesses with free items for those that stopped to visit.
The Bridge City Volunteer Fire Department had its ladder truck at the City Park and Acadian Ambulance had one of its emergency vehicles at the festival for viewing. National Night Out is held across the United States and is celebrated annually in Texas on the first Tuesday of October.
