Tuesday night in Silsbee the Bridge City Lady Cardinals jumped out to a big lead over Hardin-Jefferson but the Lady Hawks made a big comeback and twice had the lead before the Cards won 25-21.
BC (34-12) wouldn’t allow H-J to build any momentum in sets two and three as they won 25-17, 25-14 to advance to the third round for the fifth straight year.
They will look for revenge as they’ll face Salado on Saturday at 1pm in Madisonville. Salado knocked BC out of the postseason last year. The Lady Eagles defeated LaGrange 3-0 and are 33-13 on the season.
