
The Bridge City Cardinals fell behind in the second quarter after having a 14-9 lead and never could catch up to the Coldspring Trojans, losing 57-54 in bidistrict action at East Chambers High School.
BC had three players in double figures with Dane Piper scoring 10 and Graydon Glover and Justyn Romero putting in 12 each. It was Romero’s defense that helped keep BC in the game.
After the Trojans Trey Cole scored 20 first half points, Coach Larry Sterling assigned Romero to Cole and held him to two buckets and 6 total points in the 3-4 quarter.
Coldspring will move on and play Houston Wheatley.
