The Bridge City Cardinals blew open a one point halftime lead in the second half and beat Big Sandy Tuesday 68-43.
After the Wildcats took a 25-24 lead with 6:50 to go in the third, the Cardinals started pressing defensively and it gave the Wildcats fits.
Austin Richardson led the Cards with 25 points including five three-pointers. Gabe Castillo added 12. Britten added seven, Hallman had six and Boudreaux, Rodriguez, Lovelace and Dillow added four. The Cards also shot well from the free throw line in the victory.
Celestine lead Big Sandy with 19.
The Cards will host Port Arthur Memorial on Wednesday at 2pm.
