
The BC Cardinals fend off Kelly’s late push Monday and hold on to win 8-6. Kelly wasn’t able to overcome the big hole it dug itself, falling behind by seven runs in the fourth inning.
For the Cards, Bradley Thibodaux reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the fourth inning.
Tod McDowell recorded the win for the Cardinals. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. McDowell struck out four, walked four and gave up one hit.
In the bottom of the first, Kelly grabbed the early lead, 1-0.
The Cardinals went up for good in the second, scoring five runs on an error, a sacrifice fly by Tanner Doiron, and three singles.
Also Monday, LCM beat Anahuac 4-2.
