As of Wednesday afternoon the three Orange County teams still in the basketball playoffs are unsure of when or where they’re playing.
Bridge City Coach Randall Robertson said their game with Hardin-Jefferson was originally scheduled for Friday at Vidor. Now Robertson says they have moved their game to Saturday and aren’t sure yet where the game will be played.
West Orange-Stark had set their date with Huffman for Friday in Kountze. That game has now been moved to Saturday and they are also trying to confirm a new gym after Kountze had a water main break. Possibly Woodville or Warren. (After this story was posted WOS Coach DJ Wilson told KOGT that WOS will play Sat. at 5pm at Warren HS)
The Orangefield girls were supposed to play Brookshire-Royal in the second round of the playoffs on Tuesday. The B-R area has been hit hard by the storm and at this time OF Coach Jennifer Willis says they’re not sure when they will play. It’s also worth noting that many neutral site gyms have become “not available” because of the problems from the winter storm.
The Deweyville basketball team does have a date for their 2A bi-district game with Iola. Coach Brandon Prouse says they will play Monday at 6pm at Cleveland HS.
