Barbara Elaine Briggs, 79, of Hemphill, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in Conroe, Texas.
Barbara was born on November 18, 1942 in Port Arthur, Texas to Richard Foreman and Clara Curtis Bolch. She worked as a hair stylist and owned her own beauty salon, Barbara’s Hair Design in Orange, Texas. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Hemphill. Barbara loved flowers, gardening, sketching and painting.
She is survived by her sons, Milton Briggs, Jr. and wife, Liz of Hemphill, Richard Briggs and wife, Cindy of Bridge City, and Reese Briggs and wife, Mary Ann of Hemphill; brother, Richard Foreman of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Milton Briggs, III, Tyler Briggs, Collin Briggs, Rachel Farias, Samantha Raggio, Emily Barnette, and Sara Briggs; seventeen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Clara Foreman; and her husband, Milton “Bud” Briggs.

Their kindness and compassion ensured their Mama’s life remained filled with love, laughter and happiness.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas with Tyler Briggs officiating.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to service at 12:00 p.m.
Burial will follow services in Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Milton Briggs, Jr, Richard Briggs, Reese Briggs, Milton Briggs III, Collin Briggs, Austin Farias, Quenton Barnette, and Jared Raggio serving as pallbearers.
