On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, The City of Orange Police Department Detective Division, along with the City of West Orange Police Department made three arrests for the theft and damage at the City of Orange Baseball Fields. The theft occurred in the early morning hours of April 15, 2022 when copper wire was stolen from several fields that are home to the Orange Youth Baseball and Softball League. Also some weed eaters were stolen.
Since the theft, the Orange Detective Division has been following leads and interviewing potential witnesses. An arrest warrant was obtained from the Orange County District Attorneys’ Office for 41-year-old Justin Mark Drake, 30-year-old Alexis Samantha Wilson, and 29-year-old Joshua Lee Hickman. The three subjects were arrested at their residences without incident.
Drake, Hickman, and Wilson will be booked into the Orange County Jail for State Jail Felony Theft.
