Orange County has five pitching in the minor leagues at the start of the 2025 season. Below is where they’re starting the season.
Chase Shugart
AAA Indianapolis Indians
After making his ML debut at the end of last season for the Boston Red Sox, the 28 year old Shugart was traded in the off season to Pittsburgh and was close to making the 40 man roster as a reliever. But he will start in Indianapolis.
Grant Anderson
AAA Nashville Sounds
The 27 yo Anderson was traded from the Rangers to Milwaukee in the off season. Anderson was 3-0 with a save in 26 appearances last year in Round Rock.
Chad Dallas
AAA Buffalo Bisons
In 2024 he battled injury to go 2-5, starting in 16 games. He struck out 60 in 66.2 innings. He had an ERA of 6.21 and a WHIP of 1.52. Chad starts the season on 60 day injured list and is expected to rehab most of the season.
Jack Dallas
AA Reading Fighting Phils
Jack was 5-2 last season with a 3.32 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. He struck out 59 in 57 innings, appearing in 41 games and starting three.
Aidan Anderson
AAA Round Rock
Anderson was brought up from AA to AAA last season, going 7-4 in RR with a 5.28 ERA. He was put on the Injured list by RR on March 28.
