An Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) from Orange was deployed on Tuesday morning to Mississippi in response to the recent tornadoes. The American Red Cross is providing comfort and support to people across multiple states after deadly tornadoes and storms struck a large part of the country over the weekend.
Natalie Warren with Red Cross said the van went to Conroe and Houston to pick up other volunteers before heading to places like Arkansas where tornadoes destroyed homes and lives. The volunteers will stay 2-4 weeks and could even fly home, leaving the ERV there to continue to serve.

More than 800 trained Red Cross disaster workers, 13 of those from the Texas Gulf Coast region, are on the ground now in impacted areas across multiple states and more help is on the way.
