Former WOS Mustang and McNeese Cowboy Grant Anderson finished the season with Class A Hickory Crawdads as they played the Sally League Championship series in early Sept. Grant ended up with a ERA of 3.22 in 37 games, pitching 64.1 innings out of the bull pen with 7 wins, 4 losses and 8 saves.
He was chosen and attended the Texas Rangers Futures Instructional League held in Frisco, TX finishing up Oct 6. Anderson was selected as one of the top 40 players in the Rangers minor leagues.
He’ll attend a special session in January for pitchers in Arizona, then he reports back with the Rangers Major League Pitchers to start Spring Training in Phoenix, Arizona starting early February before all other minor league players report.
