Alvin “Cajun” Duhon, 82, of Brookeland, Texas, passed away on November 3, 2020, in Orange, Texas.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2020, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Born in Kaplan, Texas, on February 19, 1938, he was the son of Wilson J. Duhon and Marie (Suire) Duhon. Cajun proudly served in the National Guard. He was an excellent mechanic and worked at Temple Inland in Orange for many years. Cajun loved to barbeque and enjoyed competing in barbeque competitions. He was a kind man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Marie Duhon; his brother, Eric J. Duhon; and his sister, Jeanette Lincecum.
He is survived by his daughter, Marie Sorenson and husband Peter of Brookeland; and his nieces, Shirley Duhon and husband Earl and Becky Wolfe and husband Steve, all of Mauriceville.
Services are under the direction of the Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
