Motorists on eastbound Interstate 10 going into Louisiana Thursday were delayed for close to seven hours because of a wreck in Vinton, Louisiana. Multiple crashes one of which involved package delivery trucks closed all the eastbound lanes of the interstate around 5:45 AM. The crashes were about three to four miles into Louisiana from the state line with Texas and the Sabine River. Traffic backed up several miles into Orange County on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10. The debris from the crashes, which included many 5 gallon buckets of paint, was not cleared until after lunch. All the lanes were finally clear for traffic after 1:30 PM Thursday. One serious injury was reported along with several minor injuries.
