
Thursday morning a white Honda SUV was driving eastbound on the I-10 service road near Adams Bayou when it struck the back of a stopped 18 wheeler that had broken down.
Julie Patronella was driving two children to school when she struck the 18 wheeler. All three were taken to the hospital by Acadian to be checked out. First responders called the injuries non-life threatening. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Authorities said the truck had its flashers on but did not have the emergency triangles or cones that are required.
