A Lincoln MKZ went off the roadway of DuPont Drive and crashed into a tree and parked Camaro, which then hit the front porch of a house early Tuesday.
Orange police arrested a man in the Lincoln for possession of a controlled substance after finding a baggie of what was believed to be cocaine on top of a shed at the house.
The couple living at the house called 911 at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday for the collision in the 1400 block of DuPont Drive. Officer J. Patronella reported a 19-year-old woman told her she had been driving the MKZ. However, the officer noticed that the driver’s seat had blood on it and the man with the woman was the only one injured.
The man living in the house told police he had seen the man in the car walking from the back of the house to the front. Officers searched the area and found the baggie on top of the shop roof.
Officer Patronella said 38-year-old John Marion LeBlanc III of Orange was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Police took him to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas to be treated before taking him to the Orange County Jail.
Both the MKZ and the Camaro had to be towed from the house.
