The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated an accident on state Highway 62 about a mile south of I-10 that occurred Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 9:30 p.m., a 2002 Chevrolet Kodiak truck was traveling south, followed by a 2015 Ford Expedition. DPS reported that the driver of the Ford failed to control their speed and struck the rear of the Chevrolet.
The 44 year old driver of the Kodiak, from Belize, was not injured. The driver of the Ford, a 39-year-old woman from Orange, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
