Sunday afternoon first responders were called to a major accident at the intersection of Hwy. 87 and FM 3247.
Orange Police say a silver Ford Focus was traveling north on Hwy. 87 while a Chevrolet pickup was facing southbound in the turning lane. The truck attempted to turn left onto FM 3247, colliding with the drivers side of the Focus.
The driver and passenger of the pickup were not injured. The driver of the Focus had to be extricated out of the vehicle and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
