A Dodge Charger was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 near FM 1442 when it rear-ended a passenger vehicle. After the Dodge collided with the passenger vehicle, it slammed into the concrete center divider before coming to rest. According to witnesses, the driver of the Dodge was traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic.
The driver of the Dodge, 63-year-old Jesse Bell of Orange, was transported to Baptist hospital in Orange with minor injuries. Bell has since been released from the hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet passenger vehicle, 20-year-old Fleachia Isbell of Orange, and her 22-year-old passenger, were both transported to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Their injuries did not appear to be life threatening. There are no updates on the status on either of their conditions.
