People living in North Orange County along Highway 87 went without electricity for about eight hours Sunday afternoon into the evening because a truck hit a utility pole.
The driver of the pickup truck hydroplaned off HIghway 87 Sunday afternoon near the Sabine River Authority offices. The truck hit the electrical pole, which knocked out power to dozens of customers.
The area is served by the Jasper-Newton Cooperative.
