Vidor’s Carlie Abbott is the KOGT Athlete of the Week sponsored by First Financial Bank. Abbott hit .833 last week for the Lady Pirates as they went 5-0 in the Anahuac Tournament and followed that with a district opening win over WOS. Abbott had an on base percentage of .923 with 7 walks and no strikeouts.
Coach Nikki Trahan said she has been proud of the way Abbott’s game has come along and looks for her to continue helping the Lady Pirates reach the playoffs. The Pirates will play Silsbee on Friday.
