Just after 3pm Tuesday first responders were called to Highway 62, just south of I-10, after a man was injured in a construction accident.
Land is being developed for a new RV Park next to Gilbeaux’s Towing. According to witnesses a man was in a hole that collapsed on him. He was retrieved from the hole and CPR was being performed before Acadian transferred him to a Beaumont hospital.
Hwy. 62 was shutdown for sometime while authorities were at the scene. The Sheriff’s Department, Orange Fire and DPS were also at the site.
