Alan Dale Cooper was born February 28, 1951, and passed away August 31, 2026, at the age of 75.
Alan was an incredibly smart and resourceful man. He had a natural talent for recognizing the value in things that others might overlook. What began with his love of collecting became his livelihood. Alan made a living buying and reselling items, spending countless hours going to estate sales in search of treasures, antiques, collectibles, and things he knew others would appreciate. He truly enjoyed the hunt, the excitement of finding something special, knowing its worth, and turning that discovery into a living.
His work was more than simply buying and selling. It reflected Alan’s sharp mind, his knowledge, his curiosity, and his ability to see possibilities where others did not. He had a remarkable memory for the things he collected and a gift for knowing what was valuable and what was worth saving.
Yet, as much as Alan loved finding things, his greatest gift was his willingness to give. He was a generous person who was always helping others. If someone needed a hand, Alan was often there. He freely shared his time, his knowledge, his resources, and whatever he could to make someone else’s life a little easier.
He is survived by his sisters, Kathy Hudnall and Patty Simon; cousins, Gene Harper, Norma Harper, and Ricky Harper; nieces and nephews, Amanda Stark (Bert), Logan McFarland, Jennifer Beach (John), Dwayne Hudnall, Jada Beach and Jordan Beach.
He is preceded in death by parents, Bernis and Doris Cooper; and brother-in-law, Keith Hudnall.
Private Memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.
