Tacitus Wesley “Tacky” Stringer passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026. He had a strong faith that brought him comfort throughout his life.
He loved living on Toledo Bend and was known for his humor and love of telling stories.
He was a proud member of Pipefitters Local 195.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Polly Stringer; his wife, Cynthia Diann Stringer; and his brothers, Larry and Merrill Stringer.
He is survived by his sons, Tracy Stringer (Ellen) and Lance Stringer (Kari); his brother, James Stringer; his grandchildren, Holden, Taylor, Cassidy, and Carson; and great-grandchild, Nora.
The family thanks Legacies Nursing Facility and Heart to Heart Hospice, along with Tiffany, for their care and support.
He will be deeply missed.
