Born January 13, 1965, in Orange, Texas, to Judy and Gerald Taylor; passed away March 12, 2026 in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Early years found Craig riding his bicycle, playing baseball and mostly building models of Army green. His love for the Army was a passion that stayed with him throughout his life. Craig was a lively individual who enjoyed many disciplines. He was a member of the choir, a manager of several plays and a member of the LCM football team, playing defensive end. Always active in the Methodist Church, he was a member of the Youth Choir that sang in various towns in Southeast and Northeast Texas. He had a passion for maps and history that began in high school. His long-time interest in politics was nurtured by a trip to Presidential Classroom in Washington D.C. his junior year.
After graduation from high school he entered TCU and began a commitment to Army ROTC and remained in the reserve for eight years post-graduation. He remained an avid proponent and supporter of the discipline.
Following graduation from TCU Craig entered the work force. He followed many paths, but found his real interest was in the airplane industry. He worked as a general manager in commercial aerospace for 30 years. Four years ago, he started a commercial transport business, MLT Transport.
Craig had many hobbies. His expertise at smoking and grilling meats was well known. A love of music began in early years and eventually he began guitar lessons and later participated in Praise Bands at several churches. Finally, he was a loyal TCU football enthusiast, attending many home games. He enjoyed pregame tailgating often preparing brisket and ribs for his friends.
His greatest achievements have been his love and care of family, his generous nature, innumerable friends and his love of the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Taylor of Orange, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joycelyn Taylor, son, Matthew Taylor, daughter, Lauren Taylor, Nick Lisenbee, and wife Kiya and sons Elijah and Leon; Mother, Judy Taylor; brother, Steve Taylor and wife Karen, nephew, Chase Taylor and wife Hadley, nephew Reece Taylor; and Mother-in-Law Bernadette James.
