Dan Trice Luker, born May 15, 1949, in Palestine, Texas, passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on March 17, 2026. He was a lifelong Southeast Texas resident, raised in Grapeland until 1959 before moving to Vidor, where he built a life, a legacy, and a reputation that will not be forgotten.
Dan was a proud graduate of Lamar University and served as President of Four-Star Press in Vidor for 45 years, where he built not only a successful business, but lasting relationships grounded in trust and integrity.
Outside of work, he was an avid deer hunter and a true craftsman, known for rebuilding classic cars with care and precision. Whether in the woods or the garage, he found peace in working with his hands and passing down what he knew.
He was a man who ruled by respect and earned it from everyone who knew him. Soft-spoken, kind-hearted, and steady, Dan was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone. His strength was quiet, his knowledge was deep, and his presence was constant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Merle Luker and Ida Adair Luker.
Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Arenda Luker; his son Trice Luker and wife Ashley; his daughter Leigh Anne Harrington; and his son Jeffrey Luker and wife Amy. He also leaves behind a legacy in his grandchildren: Gracie Rae, Jack, Avery Leigh, Trace, Branson, Kasyn, Leah, Gracie Kay, and Avery Raine. He is also survived by his brother, Randall Luker.
Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. The lessons he taught, the time he gave, and the example he set will live on through the family he loved so deeply.
He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
