This week 22 local golf teams battled windy conditions at the Babe Zaharias golf course, in Port Arthur. Beaumont Kelly came out on top with a team total of 315, followed by Hardin-Jefferson, and PNG.
The Bobcats in the fourth spot, had a team total of 355 and were led by Davey Hogg’s 79 which helped him secure a top 5 spot in the individual medalist. LCM shot a 359, with Cooper Smith being the top performer for the bears with an 85.
Bridge City #1 shot a 360, with Kevin Cullums leading the way with an 82. Vidor had a good outing with a
team total 364, with Branson Gunstream shooting an 83. Bridged City #2 came in with a 379, led by Deegan Becker’s 89. Deweyville finished with a team total 420, with Carson Borel having the low score. Schools will be back on the links Monday at Sunset Grove Country Club, for the Bridge City Invitational.
