FreightCar America has acquired Carly Railcar Components, which has a location in Orange on Hwy. 87 north near LCM High School. The move is intended to strengthen the railcar builder’s railcar aftermarket distribution business.
In a statement the company said, FreightCar America, Inc. has completed the acquisition of Carly Railcar Components, LLC, a family-owned distributor of railcar components. The move expands FreightCar America’s aftermarket distribution business, particularly in running-repair components, and is expected to provide customers with reduced lead times and a broader selection of ready-to-ship products. With Carly Railcar Components’ established presence and facility in Orange, Texas, FreightCar America aims to enhance speed, reliability, and product availability for its customers, while pursuing operational improvements across its combined network.
