
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats are your Kolache Classic Champions! They were undefeated in the West Tournament in Waco, closing things out with a dominant 55-22 win over the Crawford Lady Pirates.
Mikayla Locke led the way with 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Olivia Smith followed with a strong performance of 13 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds. Paisley Reeves added 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals to round out another great team effort.
The Lady Bobcats now turn their focus to district play, beginning Tuesday against the Hardin Lady Hornets

The LCM Lady Bears traveled to Longview this weekend to take part in the Pine Tree Tournament. After going 3-2, they are headed home as your Silver Bracket Champions!
The Bears opened up the tournament with a loss to a sound Melissa team 20-46. Maya Meadows had 9 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. Mallory Russell had 8 points.
The Lady Bears bounced back Friday morning defeating Arp 52-29 in a game that had several contributors, including 11 different Bears who scored. Maya Meadows led the way again offensively with 13 points. She also added 7 rebounds and an assist. Madi Scott had a season high 9 points to go with 3 steals and a rebound. Her teammate Mallory Russell had 6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Felicity Bob had a team high 4 assists and 4 points.
Friday evening the Lady Bears took on 3A #9 Liberty Eylau and lost 52-56. Eden Frenzel led the way with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Emily Smith had 13 points, a rebound, 1 assist and 2 steals. Mallory Russell hauled in 8 rebounds and Asia Woodson fought for 6 of her own.
Saturday saw the Lady Bears nab two wins over Sabine and Arp to seal the Championship of the Silver Bracket. The beat Sabine 40-35 took a big 4th quarter push where Maya Meadows scored 10 of her 12 points. Mallory Russel had 8 points, Emily Smith 7, and Asia Woodson 6.
In the rematch against Arp the Lady Bears won 42-27. Eden Frenzel had 10 points, Maya Meadows 8, Kendall Jones 6, and Taylor Huckaby and Ava Shugart each had 4 points.
The Lady Bears will head to Nederland Tuesday for a final tune up before starting district play.
