
Mark Anthony Elmore was born July 31, 1965, and passed away November 21, 2025, at the age of 60.
Born with a deep appreciation for nature, Mark found his greatest joy in the outdoors. Whether casting a line into a quiet lake at sunrise, tracking game through crisp autumn woods, or sitting beside a crackling campfire under a star-filled sky, he felt most at home beneath the open heavens. Fishing, hunting, and camping were not just hobbies to him, they were a way of life, a source of peace, and a bond he shared with the people he loved.
Mark will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, steady presence, and the stories he told from years spent exploring the wild places he cherished. His family and friends will forever hold close the memories of his adventurous spirit and the laughter he brought to every outing.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Veronica Elmore; children, Alicia Elmore, Verna Elmore, Bobby Elmore, Shawnta Meaux, Martha Meaux, Ernnie Meaux, and Mariam Hardy; sister, Norma Kay Elmore; stepfather, Shirley Horton; 13 grand children; and 9 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George Elmore, and Della Mae Horton; and brothers, Sammy Clint Elmore.
Cremation was entrusted to Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas.
