
Several of our area girls teams participated in the Nederland Basketball Tournament over the weekend.
The Bridge City Lady Cardinals went undefeated to win the tournament.

LCM lost to #20 United 35-33. Maya Meadows had 10 points in the matchup, Eden Frenzel had 7 and Emily Smith had 6.
LCM beat Tarkington 49-27. The Lady Bears had a balanced offense with 9 different players scoring. Eden Frenzel led the way with 17 points including 5 3’s. Emily Smith had 9 points and Paityn Golden had 7.
The Lady Bear lost 38-36 in OT to East Chambers. Mallory Russell had 8 points, Maya Meadows had 6, Asia Woodson, Aubrey Temple, and Eden Frenzel all chipped in 5 a piece.
LCM beat PNG 43-18. Maya Meadows had 14 points and Eden Frenzel 10.
Lady Bears beat Nederland 32-22. Maya Meadows 8, Makayla Dougharty 5, and then Asia Woodson, Taylor Huckaby and Eden Frenzel each had 4.

Orangefield Day 3 – The Orangefield Varsity Lady Bobcats closed out the tournament with a solid win over PNG, taking it 47–26. Mikayla Locke led the way with 16 points, 7 steals, and 7 assists. Olivia Smith added 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. Madison McCormack stepped up with 8 points and 4 rebounds. Varsity finished the tournament 4–1 and really played well together as a team. The Lady Bobcats have a quick turnaround as they prepare to take on the Lumberton Lady Raiders on Monday.
Orangefield Day Two-Day two of the Nederland Tournament was full of battles for the Lady Bobcats. The Varsity team opened against the Bridge City Lady Cardinals and came up short with a 32 to 20 loss. Mikayla Locke led with 10 points, 5 steals, and 4 rebounds. Paisley Reeves added 4 points and 3 rebounds, and Kendall Sullivan chipped in with 9 rebounds and 2 points.
Varsity bounced back in a big way with a dominant 49 to 10 win over the Hardin Lady Hornets. Brooklyn Wagoner led the charge with 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Freshman Lakynn Granger added 11 points and 3 rebounds. Mikayla Locke contributed 9 points and 3 rebounds, and Kendall finished with 6 points and 6 rebounds.
Orangefield Day One- The Lady Bobcats opened the day against the Buna Lady Cougars and came away with a 35–25 victory. Mikayla Locke led the team with 12 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists. Olivia Smith added 4 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Brooklyn Wagoner contributed 5 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals in a tough, competitive game.
Varsity kept the momentum going in their second matchup, defeating the Nederland Lady Bulldogs 45–24. Mikayla Locke finished with 21 points, 5 steals, and 2 rebounds. Olivia Smith posted 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals, and Brooklyn Wagoner added 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.
