
Grant-Celebration of Life services honoring Kenneth Paul Hodges, 78, will be held at 1 o’clock p.m. on Saturday afternoon, November 22, 2025, at Palestine Baptist Church, in Grant, Louisiana. Rev. Bro. Hardy Estes will officiate. Kenneth will be laid to rest at Palestine Cemetery in Grant immediately following his services.
Kenneth’s family will receive friends and visitors at Palestine Baptist Church on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 10 o’clock a.m. until time of service. All of Kenneth’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ardoin/Allen Parish Funeral Home of Kinder.
Kenneth Paul Hodges, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and veteran, of Pitkin, Louisiana and Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on November 19th, surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born on Sunday, December 1st, 1946, to Paul and Doris Hodges in Ferriday, Louisiana. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, where he honorably served in the 1st Cavalry Division of the United States Army. For over 50 years, Kenneth worked diligently as a pipefitter and welder for multiple construction companies across Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana. Kenneth will be remembered for his strong will to finish tasks, and his deep dedication to the Army and his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Darleen Hodges. His legacy continues through his two daughters, Elizabeth Renee’ Ansley (Greg Ansley) of Pitkin, Louisiana, and Michelle McDonald (Scott McDonald) of Orange, Texas; and one son, Kenneth Ramon Hodges (Dawn Hodges) of Nederland, Texas. He is also survived by his brother, Randy Hodges of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Kenneth was a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren: Christopher Ansley (Heather), Andrew Ansley (Ashley), Heather Hodge (James), Samuel McDonald, Madison McDonald, Logan Hodges, and Daniel Hodges; and a great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his lifelong friend, David Snapp of Orange, Texas.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Doris Hodges.
