Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center is pleased to announce that tickets for their annual Christmas Strolls are now available for purchase. Families and friends can now plan ahead to enjoy this magical event, happening on Tuesdays through Saturdays, December 2-20, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (last entry at 8:30 p.m.). A Senior, Mobility Friendly and Sensory Sensitivity Hour will be offered from 5-6 p.m. each night for guests with sensory sensitivities or mobility challenges and their families.
This holiday season, Shangri La Gardens is implementing a new ticketed entry system with a small admission fee to ensure a more safe and magical experience for all guests. Each evening’s Stroll will be limited to 4,000 tickets, and all guests must have a ticket for entry. Children 16 and under must be under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Official Strolls tickets may be pre-purchased through Shangri La Gardens’ website, shangrilagardens.org.
Pre-purchase Ticket Prices:
• Adults (ages 13+): $3
• Children: $1
• Infants (ages 2 and under): Free
Walk-up Ticket Prices:
• $5 each person (subject to availability, cashless entry only)
• Infants (ages 2 and under): Free
Ticket pre-purchase is strongly recommended, as there are a limited number of tickets available. Popular Stroll evenings, including Fridays and Saturdays, are anticipated to sell out. Guests are encouraged to plan their holiday visit and pre-purchase tickets to guarantee their experience.
“Christmas Strolls have become a beloved community tradition, and we have been hard at work to ensure the best possible experience for all guests,” said Angie Mason, executive director at Shangri La Gardens. “By managing the attendance each Stroll evening, we can reduce crowding and better preserve the beautiful garden spaces that we all love. With ticketing, we are absorbing all of the processing fees so that we can make this an affordable experience. We want a family of five to be able to enter for under $10. It is our priority for Strolls to remain inclusive, safe and family friendly.”
In addition to admission changes for this season of Strolls, Shangri La Gardens has implemented other measures to create a more magical experience. Improvements have been made to the location of concessions. The Orange Lions Club and Free State Cellars Winery will now be located in a central location near the start of the Stroll. Both organizations will have festive beverages and treats available for purchase. The accessibility of the popular ornament photo op has also improved by now being wheelchair and stroller friendly.
Non-perishable food items and monetary donations will also be collected for the annual Community Food Drive that benefits Orange Christian Services. As the holiday season nears, Shangri La Gardens encourages the public to stay tuned to their website and social media for updates.
