Effective November 10, 2025, Newton County has issued a 7-day Emergency Burn Ban until November 17, 2025.
What’s prohibited: All outdoor burning and open flames, including campfires and brush/garbage burning or Any outdoor activity likely to cause sparks that could start a fire.
Enforcement & penalties: This order will be enforced by peace officers. Violations are a Class C misdemeanor with fines up to $500.
